LOVE LOVE LOVE all these pics; especially Benji's toothy smile. :)
It's so very nice to hear from you.
YES, it's almost Thanksgiving! We are hosting the festivities this year. Come on over, if you four don’t have any plans, we’ll have lots and lots of yummy food AND three babies for Ethan and Benji to play with. :)
Answering your question… yes, Ev can to go from sitting position to lying down. I think it evolved by giving him a safe, cushiony space to fall over (because he did fall A LOT), I remember him sitting and falling onto his side(with his moms help, of course. Eventually he was able to start breaking the fall by putting his hands out. It sometimes can be a little nerve-racking, but I tell myself I can’t always limit his developmental attempts, when he’s willing. Again, I just make sure he’s safe and pad those areas that are hazards for him, like table and chair legs.
I LOVE the “butt in the air” stage! Ev was there not too long ago, I did a post about it on the blog. It wasn’t too much later that he really started bending at the knees. I remember helping him by having him stand (with help, of course) and bending him at the knees THEN putting his hands down. Most of the time, he slipped back down, but it only gave him more practice and it allowed him to practice how it was suppose to feel to bend at the knees.

Not a whole lot going on in the crawling department, Ev is super about getting from the belly position up to all fours. He’s scootching along by rocking and popping his little knees under his chest. It’s hard to explain, I’ll need to get the video camera out, as it’s the funniest thing to watch.
He’s not quite able to get from belly position to sitting yet either, he makes it about half then rolls back down onto his belly. I think he’s on schedule and will get there soon. He’s been so active lately and playing soooo much, I love it. We also feel so very lucky because he can be quite independent in playtime. It’s really nice.

Changing the subject a little…. Are you buying or making your boys food? We’re currently buying the veggie and fruit jars, but considering making them. I’ve been reading about it and know there are several veggies that I shouldn’t prepare, but just curious what you moms are doing. He doesn’t like fruits at all. He’ll tolerate pears and sometimes apples. if I mix them with his rice cereal. I tell Deona it’s because she didn’t eat enough fruits when she was pregnant. He absolutely LOVES peas (like Mama):)
Looking forward to hearing more about Ethan & Benji’s development. Hugs to you four!!
