The boys Grandma came to visit this weekend, and they have not been on their best behaviour. Our poor little loves have been very unsettled. They have been showing us their tired signs, so we've been putting them to bed as usual, but this weekend they've been lying in bed and grizzling for the next 30-60mins - or more!
Last night we fed them at 9pm. They took until 10:30pm to settle. They were good little boys and slept until 2am. After the 2am feed they tag-teamed the crying. Benji finally settled after about 3:30am. . . Ethan didn't settle. By 4:30am he'd grizzled and hyperventilated and cried himself to hunger anain!! We fed him and he ate 140mls (90-100mls is normal for him) and FINALLY settled! Benji ate too and both boys settled by 6am slept until almost 9am. Us mums got 6.5 hours sleep in the 12 hours between the 9pm and 9am feeds.
We think the boys are having another growth spurt or something because after the 9am feed they woke again at 11am for more food! We have read that their appetite changes at 6weeks of age (they're now 5weeks) . . . maybe it's just a week early!?!?!
We'll have to see.
