Today was the boys’ second birthday party. Their actual birthday is tomorrow.
We had a fantastic day today. Tracie, Sal and the boys’ grandma did hours and hours of work getting ready for the party on the days leading up to the big day. The party was a huge success and everyone had a great time.
The night before the party, after the boys went to bed, grandma decorated the house.
While Sal decorated the cakes, with Tracie’s help….The boys put much thought into the design of their cakes (so did we) and we all eventually agreed on a guitar for Ethan, and a drum for Ben. We are really happy how they turned out, and they boys LOVED them!
The next morning, it was PARTY TIME!!!
Tracie and Sal (with the grandparents) have been considering buying the boys a jumping castle as a birthday present for a few weeks now. We have been checking them out in the shops, and doing some research about buying vs renting a castle for parties. Sal’s mum (Nana) offered to lend us a jumping castle that her school owned (she’s a teacher to little kids at an autistic school). So Nana bought the jumping castle, but forgot to bring the air compressor to inflate it!!! With the party due to start in 30 mins, we made a decision that Sal would run out and buy the jumping castle that we almost bought the week before. So we did!! Thanks Nana and Grandma, the boys LOVE their new jumping castle!!
My new favourite photo. It’s so hard to get a good photo of the two of them together!

Sal’s Uncle Peter cooking the BBQ for lunch. He did a great job. Thank you!!!
After all the little kids had had a hit, the pinata was still looking pretty solid. Sal’s cousin Kim decided to hack into it with a jumping castle stake! – MAD!!! hahahahah
Some lollies are starting to fall out….
YAY….. lollies (candy to my American friends!)
Cake time. Ethan, Mummy (Sal), Mumma (Tracie) and Ben.

We would like to thank all our family and friends who came along to celebrate with us. We had a great party, and the boys absolutely LOVE all of their presents. Thank you very much for your generosity.
