Sal’s Birthday Party with Her Family.

It’s my birthday next weekend, but last weekend we celebrated with Nana, Aunty Shell, Uncle Michael and Aunty Linda. It was a great day, and everyone had lots of fun.

When we first arrived, the boys wanted to help Nana cook lunch. Below is three photos of Ethan cutting the cucumber. I love his facial expressions. The first shows such concentration and determination….tn_IMG_6115 Then a bit more relaxedtn_IMG_6119 Success!!tn_IMG_6120

hen we played the game Aunty Linda gave to Sal for her birthday. Wasn’t it nice of Aunty Linda to give me a game for ages 3-7!!!

It is a game like “Operation” but for younger kids. It’s called ‘Silly Surgery’. It is a plastic blow up patient on a bed. He has a hole in his belly and about 10 blow up toys inside. You pick a card, which as a picture of one of the objects…

Then you must put your arm into his belly and feel around until you find the item on the card.tn_IMG_6264

Right now

Right now it is 5:40pm on Thursday evening and the boys are in the bath.

Today we have been to swimming lessons, then the park. Spring is coming and the weather is beautiful at the moment. At the park we played for an hour, fed the ducks, had a long walk over the bridge and picked some flowers. We made a flower chain and saw some mud crabs!
We talked about crabs that live in holes, and hermit crabs in shells. We saw crab tracks in the sand, crab holes and balls of sand they had made.

After the park we took mumma to work and came home. At home we play outside for a while, and then came inside to relax.

We had dinner at 5pm, now we are up to the bath.

I'm hoping for an early night tonight as it's a school day tomorrow.

It’s more fun with a twin!

Life as a 3yr old twin looks like such fun. They always have a buddy to play with. Someone with similar abilities, similar interests and a similar sense of humour. They really loved to play together, joke around and have fun.

We are looking forward to the warmer weather, and got a few nice warm winters day in late august. The boys made the most of it with some water play in the back yard. Ethan got wet right at the start, so stripped naked pretty quickly. Both boys thought it was very funny when Ben squirted Ethan with a syringe full of water!

Life’s more fun with a twin!

We made you a coffee Mummy

Early one morning, the boys decided to let me sleep in and make me a coffee. They couldn’t quite work out how to do it, so Ethan came into my room to tell me the problem!!

I came downstairs to find this mess wonderful attempt at making coffee! All the brown mess is chocolate powder. They didn’t actually work out how to get the grinder to work!

Yummy chocolate powder! It has been sucked on!tn_IMG_6061 tn_IMG_6062 Yummy chocolate powder!!tn_IMG_6063 tn_IMG_6064

Oh, my lovely boys meant well!

Playdate at the park.

A few weeks ago we went to the park with my friend and her 3 girls. My friend has a 5yr old and 3yr old identical twin girls. Below are the two sets of twins playing together. tn_IMG_5971 Ben and Ethan played together a lot in this park. It was pretty busy, so they like to stick together.tn_IMG_5974 tn_IMG_5977 tn_IMG_5989 tn_IMG_5993 tn_IMG_6013 tn_IMG_6017

It was a fun day, beautifully sunny, but there was an icy chill on the wind.

Swimming Lessons

Ben and Ethan have been in swimming lessons twice a week for the last month. The extra lesson has had a big impact on their skills. They are swimming better than ever. Unfortunately Ethan got sick with conjunctivitis and missed two lessons in a row. It has put him behind Ben, but he is catching up slowly.

First Ethan. As usual, taken with my iPhone, so sorry about the quality.

And Ben…… Ben is starting to learn to take a breath. The teacher taps him on the head, and he is supposed to look up to the roof and take a breath. He’s only just started. This video is probably his 5th attempt.
