Happy Mothers Day

Mothers Day was spread over several weeks this year as we celebrated with our mothers and our boys.

To avoid confusion with little boys, we celebrated “Happy Nana Day” and “Happy Grandma Day”. The boys (with the help of Mummy/Sal) made Nana and Grandma a hand print from Salt-dough. It is basically 1cup flour, 1cup salt and water to make a dough. Obviously I added blue and green colouring for my blue (Ethan) and green (Ben) boys. After they had a nice play we rolled out the dough and pressed their hand into it. It was baked in a very low oven for 2-3 hours. It went nice and hard. We finished it off with some craft felt on the back and a tie. Nana and Grandma can hang them on the wall.

Tracie and Sal celebrated Mothers Day on the actual day. We made ourselves pancakes for breakfast.

Sal and the boys made Tracie (Mumma) these pictures to hang on the wall. They are the boys handprints in colored paint as the background. They turned out really well, we are happy with them. The boys enjoyed making them for Mumma. Tracie also got some new PJ’s and warm robe.tn_IMG_5104 Sal asked for and got a “Bang Bang”. For those who don't know, it is a coffee disposal system. When you make an espresso shot, you are left with a round “puck” of used coffee. You have to bang it to get it out of the handle. We had been banging it on the side of the bin, but the bin was breaking….. so now Sal has a Bang Bang. Brilliant!!

We spent the rest of the morning relaxing, and had a nice trip to Bunnings :)

Sal had to work in the afternoon. Sal works every Sunday.
