In early May we went to a pre-school fun day. It was held at Nana’s Church, which doubles as a preschool during the week. Both the church group and the pre-school group used the day for fundraising and put on many activities that were interesting to preschool aged children. Each activity cost a few dollars. It was a great day, the boys had a wonderful time, and Nana enjoyed showing off her grandsons to her church friends.
Ethan waiting for a pony ride.
Pony in the foreground, fire truck in the background. All exciting things for a 3yr old boy!
Ben on a pony, Nana is helping.
Ben LOVED the pony ride and had a great big grin on his face the whole time,
Ethan and Tracie.
Ethan did not really like the pony ride. Unfortunately he fell off the pony, which made the whole experience less enjoyable for him.
Ben in a fire truck. Ethan did not want to get in, he was still a little shaken from his pony experience.
Ahhh, now he’s a happy boy!
Nana had the job of making scones with jam and cream for the Devonshire Tea table. For a gold coin donation ($1-2 for my American friends) you got a scone and a cup of tea/coffee. Nana spent hours making those scones earlier that morning. The scones were delicious! Ethan and Ben loved having a scone at “Nana’s Restaurant” and talked about it for weeks afterwards.
Next was a turn on the go-carts. You had to be 3yrs old to ride. They were 3yrs and 4days old on this day. They had a great time, but the boys had to help them to steer and accelerate. They were not really old enough, but they didn’t realise, and thought the whole thing was great!
Next and activity more to their age group. Fish a rubber duck out of the plastic pond and win a prize. They were delighted to win some stickers and lollies.
Next some music. They drummed on a tambourine and danced to the music.
Time to decorate a cookie. Some blue icing on a plain cookie. Add a few small lollies….. Yumm
We also got to check out a police car….. Tracie and the boys.
And what pre-school fun day can be complete without a jumping castle.
It was a fantastic morning. The whole thing was wonderfully set up for young children. The boys had so much fun. Thank you Nana for inviting us :)
